To celebrate the 7,000,000,000th citizen on this planet Earth one Mr. Gaspard Oil sought so hard to flee from, we release upon thee a brand new web layout; lo and behold! Website redesigned by Kari Makkonen with graphics by none else but the one and only Tuomo Savolainen, surfing for Gaspard Oil has never been this rad.

Also, we have to confirm the rumours that have been out there for some time now; we are currently adding finishing touches to some of the finest songs ever recorded by man, let alone the band Gaspard Oil. There are roughly 20 new songs that we’re working on. We visited studio Kujalandia in July, recorded the basic tracks there and have been adding to that in various locations with a solid state of the art mobile studio. Aesthetically, the sound will be leaning a bit more towards the, uh, um, eighties than “Women” ever did, still retaining the distinguishable GO feel. The material will likely be released on two records; the third longplay of Gaspard Oil and a shorter EP. We aim for one of these by the following summer.

Meanwhile, however, the band is taking a spring break from touring, since both Jemo and Ville are wandering around the world searching for GO knows what. May they fare well.
