WHERE CAN I HEAR IT?
Smokey rides on lost American highways at night!
These are but a few examples of the many altogether good things offered by Gaspard Oil's sophomore album, "Women". Homegrown in the tiny town of Äänekoski, cooked in the Kujalandia studios by Mr Kuja Salmi during the summer of 2009 and finally mastered at Virtalähde, the long play includes thirteen tracks describing the love life of the famous Polish pilot. All selections have been composed, conducted and generally pieced together by Gaspard Oil. The lyrics are all written by gentlemen Kettunen & Koskivaara. All this has joined hands with tremendously jaw-dropping artwork by Mr Tuomo Savolainen to produce an album unparalleled in Western art history. The musicians heard on the record are as follows: Jemo Kettunen - vocals, acoustic guitar Ville Koskivaara - vocals, electric guitar Tuomo Savolainen - piano, synthesizers, electric guitar, vocals, breathing & whatnot Andy Makkonen - bass, vocals Juuso Raatikainen - drums, percussion, vocals Handclaps, cheers and all sorts of drunken vocalizations were added by the very honourable guest star The Gaspard Oil Memorial Choir.
There is more to hear, though, for the most enthusiastic listener. In the summer of 2008 Gaspard Oil the band embarked on their first musical expedition to record their debut album in Kujalandia. Mastered at Chartmakers by Svante Forsbäck and published as a limited wood-and-fabric edition by the band itself, this rare piece of raw Finnish pop ingenuity, called "A Man Called Gaspard Oil", includes ten selections of the band's earliest material. How all this can actually reach your eardrums is quite easy. Just drop us an e-mail at gaspardoilband@gmail.com and we will immediately send you a copy of whatever you wish to purchase. The newest album "Women" only costs 15 euros, while "A Man Called Gaspard Oil" may be yours for as little as 7 euros. However, our most ridiculous offer is yet to come: for 20 euros you can buy both our albums, thus exposing yourself to the entire recorded material of Gaspard Oil the band.
